University of New Hampshire Athletics – 2019/20 Season – Unpaid Internship

Assigned with creating many of the promotional marketing materials for the University of New Hampshire’s various sports teams (most from scratch) within Adobe Photoshop. I was required to use certain colors, fonts, and backgrounds for all of my work.

I was tasked with creating the Men’s Hockey season ticket brochure for the season. I was given the template from the previous season and had to update dates, backgrounds, images, as well as other details.

Another project I worked on was the home schedule for the Gymnastics team. I was given the desired dimensions and an idea of what the team was looking for. This project was printed on magnets and handed out at various university sports events. I was given the physical magnet of the previous season as a reference but created this piece from scratch.

My supervisor mentioned that the team wanted a specific picture of one of the athletes on the right with the schedule on the left. I measured and organized the schedule with logos and a picture taken from the gymnastics finals of the previous season behind it.

Images displayed on the jumbotron in the hockey arena during games showing upcoming events. Made from scratch. I would create the majority of these images for athletic events being held in the hockey arena and football stadium. All of these had a strict deadline for uploading the image files prior to the start of the game.

These are just some examples of the work that I completed during the 2019/20 season. Other promotional works included images for the weekly email detailing various athletic games and promotions, UNH sports trivia to be displayed on the jumbotron, advertisements displayed around campus, and much more.

Frontline promotional work

On top of creating promotional items with Photoshop, I also developed the announcer script for Women’s Basketball games and ran the marketing table during events interacting with spectators as well as assisting the other interns with their assigned sports.
